How do I buy Tickets?

You can purchase tickets by clicking HERE, or for most trips, you can purchase them at the train station the day of the trip as long as seats are available. All tickets must be picked up in the Kutztown Train Station prior to boarding.

Where does the train go?

The train travels through the Berks County countryside while making an 8 mile round trip from Kutztown, PA to Topton, PA and back.

How long is the Ride?

The standard trip lasts a little more than an hour, although some trips will stop at our Picnic Grove for an additional amount of time.

When Does the Train Leave?

All trips leave at their scheduled departure times. Boarding of the train begins about 10-15 minutes before scheduled departure times. 

Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to pick up tickets.

Where Can I Park?

Parking is available at the Kutztown Train Station along Railroad Street, including the spaces that say Parking for Boro Use Only, and along Pine Street. 

Are There Bathrooms on the Train?

There are no bathrooms aboard our train at this time. Bathrooms can be found inside the Kutztown Train Station and at our Picnic Grove.

Is the Train Handicap Accessible ?

Yes, with prior request. Please call ahead or make a note when ordering tickets that you will need the train spotted for our ramp. Our ramp can load walkers and regular sized wheelchairs onto either our coach or open air car. Can We Bring Outside Food and Drinks?

Light snacks and beverages are allowed, though we ask you to be courteous and clean up after yourselves.

Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the train.

Is the Train Steam Powered?

No, at this time all trains are diesel powered.
