Chicago and North Western 32615 is a 50’ insulated box car built in December of 1965 by the General American Corporation.

It is believed that ownership of the boxcar was transferred to the Union Pacific Railroad in 1996 after it acquired the Chicago and North Western Railroad.

Sometime between 1996 and 2006 CNW 32615 was leased, then sold, to East Penn Railway in Quakertown, PA becoming EPRY 517.

EPRY 517 was later sold into private ownership while still being kept on the railroad in Quakertown.

After acquiring the boxcar, the Allentown and Auburn Railroad had it moved from Quakertown, PA to Topton, PA beginning on April 14, 2023. On April 26, 2023 ALLN 517 finally arrived in Topton, PA.

In late summer of 2023, ALLN 517 will be restored back to its as built paint scheme and number, CNW 32615.

ALLN 517 as it looks today.
